Conduct a public hearing to consider a request to appeal a September 12, 2024 decision by the Zoning Board of Appeals to approve a variance request from Article 7, Section 7.7-24, B, Animal Production to reduce the setback for a proposed covered horse arena from 75' to 21'.

Public Hearing - Appeal - ZBA Case #24-09-047V Ilde Robles (BOC Dist. 4).

Conduct a public hearing to consider a request to appeal a September 12, 2024 decision by the Zoning Board of Appeals to deny a variance request from Article 8, Section 8.3.6, to eliminate the required 30' buffer when adjacent to GC zoned properties.

Request for Appeal - Case #24-10-051V Melissa Daywalt for Dr. Amy Crowder (ALC Veterinary Properties) (BOC Dist. 4).

Consider request to appeal a December 12, 2024 decision by the Zoning Board of Appeals to deny a variance request to Article 10, Table 10.1: Minimum Buffer Width Between Abutting Districts to reduce the required 50' undisturbed zoning buffer to 10' when adjacent to residentially zoned properties; to Article 16, Section 16.1.5, C, to remove the requirement of an overstory tree every 40 feet on center within the landscape strip along Highway 92; and to Article 16, Section 16.1.5, B, to not require a fence along the entire Highway 92 frontage.

Case #24-12-026 - Parks Huff for RAK Developments, LLC.

Applicant is requesting to rezone 40.26 +/- acres from AG (General Agriculture) to R-40 (Single-Family Residential) to create a 30-lot subdivision. The applicant is also requesting a concurrent variance to the Cherokee County Development Regulations Standard Detail 201 to allow a rural street section; variance to Table 7.1A: Minimum District Development Standards to reduce a side building setback from 15-feet to 10-feet and to reduce a front building setback from 35-feet to 20-feet; and a variance to Article 5, Section 5.5-10.1 to allow for private streets.

Applicant is requesting to rezone 7.45+/- acres from AG (General Agriculture) to NC (Neighborhood Commercial) for office and retail uses; variances to Article 10, Table 10.1: Minimum Buffer Width Between Abutting Districts to reduce the buffer from 30 ft. to 5 ft. along the eastern (rear) property line and reduce the buffer from 30 ft. to 11 ft. along the northern (side) property line.

FTA Public Transportation Agency Safety Plan (PTASP) Update for CATS.

Consider request from CATS for approval of an update to the FTA Public Transportation Agency Safety Plan (PTASP).

Budget Amendment for Annual Grants.

Consider request from Finance Department for approval of four Budget Amendments in the total amount of $49,413.00, for allocations to the Multiple Grant Fund to continue grant projects that were started in prior fiscal years.

Recreation and Parks Grant.

Consider request from Recreation & Parks for acceptance of a grant from the Atlanta Hawks in the amount of $2,380.00 to help offset the costs of the Youth Basketball Program and consider approval of a Budget Amendment in the same amount.

Consider request by Recreation and Parks to approve amendment four to the agreement with Nicole Mazzatenta dba NAN's Concessions LLC, for concessions services at select County Parks.

Consider request by Recreation and Parks to approve a professional services agreement with Burger Bunny Concessions LLC, for concessions services at select County Parks in the annual amount of $6,000.00.

Renewal of Agreement with BIAH for Animal Shelter Products.

Consider request by Animal Shelter to renew agreement with Boehringer Ingelheim Animal Health USA, Inc. for a three-year term to allow the shelter to continue to receive flea, tick and heartworm control products at no cost, and provide discounts on other products with no obligation to purchase.

Call for Public Hearing - Amendment to Animal Control Ordinance - Impoundment Fees.

Consider request for a public hearing to be held on January 21, 2025, for a proposed amendment to Chapter 10, Article 2, Section 27(c) of the Cherokee County Code of Ordinances, Animal Control, to enact provisions regarding impoundment fees, enforcement and penalties.

Consider lease agreement with Empower Cherokee of GA, Inc. to occupy county-owned facility located at 1229 Univeter Road, Canton, Georgia.

Additional Cloud Space for Government Cloud Backup Solution.

Consider request from IT Department for purchase of additional cloud space for the Government Cloud Backup Solution in the total amount of $155,789.73, including three years of support.

Hidden Branches Subdivision Culvert Replacement - Construction Agreement.

Consider request from Engineering Department to award a construction services agreement to Ohmshiv Construction, LLC., the low bidder, for construction of the Hidden Branches Culvert Replacement Project, in the total amount of $1,514,305.40.

Damascus Road at Upper Bethany Road Intersection Improvement Project - Construction Agreement.

Consider request from Engineering Department to award a construction services agreement to Colditz Trucking, Inc., the low bidder, for construction of the Damascus Road at Upper Bethany Road Intersection Improvement Project, in the total amount of $1,070,921.52.

Consider request from Fleet Services for approval of an agreement with Jeff Dobson & Associates to manage the County’s annual surplus vehicle and equipment auction for a period of three years.
